High-End Home and Office Automation Technical Support Technician

Location: North East Denver Metro

Compensation:

Mile High Automation (MILEHIGHAUTOMATION.COM) is a successful smart home and smart office automation company that provides clients across North America with security, lighting, audio, video, and climate control solutions and integration.

Utilizing only the most proven and best of breed solutions in the industry, Mile High Automation has an 11 year track record in high end and custom solutions to meet the needs of our customers in the Smart Home and Smart Office market.

Day to day you will be working with existing customers and potential customers to provide courteous and capable technical assistance with existing home automation systems. Additionally, you will assist with the sales design process in support of the sales team.

Mile High Automations customer base includes; private home owners, builders, general contractors, architects, interior designers and other industry sectors.

You will provide professional technical support to customers with an eye towards always leaving the customer impressed. Impressed with your technical knowledge and your professionalism.

You may at times as needed, assist with supervising and assisting installation teams at customer sites. Up to 30% travel during the first year may occur (company funded of course).

You will work with the company leadership and peers to establish clear, well documented and repeatable support processes.

In addition, duties include moderate levels of project management along with pre and post sales customer support.

You will be a self-starter with a drive to constantly learn more about the industry and both current and emerging technologies. You will then assist with the selection of products and technologies to be sold and support by Mile High Automation

Requirements:

          • At least 2-5 years of home automation installation and support experience with either residential or commercial solutions.

          • Outgoing personality with a very positive attitude

          • A “Customer First” attitude and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure the customer is taken care of.

          • Able to handle working in a dynamic environment where priorities can change unexpectedly

          • Experience with common industry solutions and controller programing

          • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

          • Experience with phone and remote support of customers and systems

          • Experience with technical implementation of Audio/Visual solutions installation, configuration and programing

          • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new technologies quickly and in depth

          • Strong demonstrated work ethic

          • Professional Appearance and Demeanor

Preferred background:

          • College Degree

          • Firm understanding of common network protocols, network hardware and cabling

          • Construction or IT based project management skills

          • Technical Support process development and enhancement

          • Works well in both teams and as an individual contributor
